FlowerFrogs

Flower frogs are used to hold flower arrangement in position.  They can be very simple objects that look like a lead weighted pincushion or fancy porcelain pieces that are valuable in their own right.

We have collected flower frogs in a variety of styles and plan to add photographs and descriptions to these pages soon.  My wife saw the one below on Ebay and couldn't resist.  It's not an example of the finest work but makes a great desk decoration.

Some of these flowerfrogs will be displayed on our Gerold Porzellan  website because Gerold Porzellan incorporated a variety of flower frogs into their products.

My wife is a gardener who likes to keep the house filled with fresh flowers she grows in the garden and in flower beds around the house.  In New Mexico, the the dry winds or spring, and the general lack of moisture, the flowers do best if picked early in the morning on the day they are ready to open.  They will stay fresh much longer if brought into the house then and put into a vase.

With a variety of flowers including panseys, tulips, roses and many others, flower frogs help to make possible a variety of interesting displays.

Below is a list of upcoming flower frog auctions on Ebay.  Enjoy.
